    What about The Notebook? :)

And the new love story The Time Traveller's Wife is supposed to be tear-jerking too. Yet to watch it though.

"Terms of Endearment" was the movie that affected me the most ever. And it was the 2nd time I watched it. The first time, I got teared up and sniffled, which is what most "tearjerkers" tend to do to me. The 2nd time I watched it was with my 3 teenage children and their respective boyfriend and girlfriends. And I TOTALLY lost it, sobbing and gushing! And I could not stop .... even though they were laughing at me. <sigh> Guess it just mean so much more to me by then.
"Mask" (with Cher) was probably the runner-up, but it had such a positive message in spite of the ending, that I was smiling and crying.

"The Notebook" always makes me cry too!

Another movie that really moved me - and surprised me - was the Spanish flick "El Orfanato." I was told it was one of the scariest movies in a long time, and it was. But it was also very touching and deep.

I second The Notebook. Plus the '90s movie The Cure. That's a full-tissue-box flick but the best movie when you need a good cry.

I second Steel Magnolias. And any movie with dogs who get hurt or die.

The Notebook, of course! But I also echo your comments on Life is Beautiful. The first time I saw it was with subtitles, but I have since found a dubbed version. No matter how many times I watch it I cry so hard! If you have never seen it, give it a chance. It can be a little slow for the first hour but it's well worth it.

Y'all need to see Nights in Rodanthe, it's a tear jerker too. All of Nicholas Sparks stories are tear jerkers.
